This past Saturday, Souths players and staff took to McDonald’s stores across Logan to support the 2024 McHappy Day celebrations, raising vital funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities.
In a show of community spirit, players were joined by Coaches Karmichael Hunt, Kimiora Breayley-Nati, and CEO Steven Bretherton as they stepped into various roles within the stores. From handing out orders to assisting in the kitchen, the team worked side by side with McDonald’s staff to help boost donations and spread awareness for the cause.
Partnering with a valued Souths Partner and their affiliated Community Partner provides a unique and meaningful opportunity, especially during the pre-season. This collaboration plays a pivotal role in reinforcing the club's values among players while fostering a deeper connection with the community.
Whilst the rain was unrelenting, there was no shortage of spirit around the McDonald's stores at Loganholme, Logan Central, Logan Village, Berrinba, Park Ridge, and Browns Plains. We would like to thank all of the staff at each store for accomodating Souths on McHappy Day.
