On Sunday our Tilermade Hostplus Cup boys returned to Davies Park for their second of three consecutive home games. In yesterday's clash they took on the top of the table squad, the formidable Norths Devils.
With the Souths Old Boys watching on, the field was set for a tough 80 minutes against a tough team.
From the kick off Souths showcased their defensive prowess but Norths pushed through to get 20 points on the board in the first half.
With just 8 minutes in the first half Kienan Tempest pushed through 2 Norths defenders to get across the line. Converted by Coby Black to bring the half time score to 6-20.
Norths put on another strong performance in the second half getting over the line 3 times before Denzel Samoa scored on the wing for his third try of the season.
Unfortunately Norths were too strong and walked away with a 10-38 win.
We are home again next Sunday to take on the Brisbane Tigers kicking off at 2:00PM.
