Each year, our club proudly partners with the Small Steps 4 Hannah Foundation to support their mission of preventing domestic and family violence in Australia. As part of this initiative, we design a special edition Pink “SS4H Jersey” worn by our Hostplus Cup and BMD Premiership teams this Sunday at Davies park as they take on the Mackay Cutters in Women in League Round. BMD Premiership kick off at 1:20pm followed by Hostplus Cup at 3:00pm.
These jerseys are more than just game-day attire, they’re a symbol of awareness, respect, and hope. Following the match, each jersey is signed by the players and auctioned off, with all proceeds donated directly to Small Steps 4 Hannah to assist their H.A.L.T. program.
The significance of this cause resonates deeply with us, as Lloyd Clarke, Hannah’s father, is a cherished Souths past player. The Magpies are privileged to extend our support, fostering a robust partnership with Small Steps 4 Hannah. The foundation's mission, to H.A.L.T the cycle of domestic violence through education and support for affected families across Australia, is one we wholeheartedly endorse. Your participation in the auctions not only demonstrates solidarity but also contributes to a cause that strives for positive change in our communities.
Souths began the initiative in 2023 and to date have raised $10,670 for Small Steps 4 Hannah and are hoping to grow this number by more than ever before this year.
