Country Round is back again in 2024, and Souths are headed to Tamborine Mountain to take on the Burleigh Bears.
This week, Souths Hostplus Cup player Joe Tomane visited the local Mount Tamborine community in preparation for Country Round. His stops included Canungra State School and Tamborine Mountain State School, where he provided valuable education on physical health and wellbeing.

Joe along with CEO Steven Bretherton, and Head of Football Mark Beaumont brought the excitement to the Bushrats Junior Rugby League Football Club with a dynamic 'come & try' clinic. The day wrapped up with an engaging coach education session, leaving a lasting impact on the community.
Country Round offers an invaluable opportunity to spread Rugby League to small remote communities and Souths look forward to this round every year.
Heading into this weekend's game the team is feeling the pressure after their Round 18 loss. Following the bye round last weekend, the team is feeling more prepared to head into our Country Round clash with the Burleigh Bears. Tristan Sailor will be back in the number 1 jersey on Saturday along with some further changes to the team. See below for the full team list.
