Our annual Business Networking Lunch returned in 2025, once again bringing together our valued Partners and special guests for a memorable afternoon of business insights, relationship building, and meaningful conversations.
The day began with a wine tasting experience courtesy of our friends at Andrew Peace Wines, setting the tone for a relaxed yet engaging event. This provided guests the perfect opportunity to connect in a casual environment before the formalities began.
Guests then enjoyed a dynamic line-up of speakers, expertly introduced by our MC, Evan Bancroft. We commenced with renowned criminal lawyer Nick Dore from our Partners at Fisher Dore Lawyers. Nick shared powerful insights drawn from his career and personal journey, offering thought-provoking perspectives that resonated strongly with attendees.
Next, we “swapped codes” with premiership-winning coach and AFL great Leigh Matthews. Leigh captivated the room with stories from his legendary playing and coaching career, weaving in valuable lessons in leadership, resilience, and teamwork. His address provided unique parallels between elite sport and business, inspiring attendees to apply these principles to their own professional journeys.
Our final address was delivered by Professor Adam Scott, Founder of the White Cloud Foundation. Professor Scott spoke about the remarkable work the foundation undertakes to deliver tele-mental health services to Australians in need. He also shared details about their upcoming “Leaping Lads” fundraising event, where participants will abseil down the Kangaroo Point Cliffs to raise awareness and support for mental health initiatives.
The event was a testament to the strength of our partnerships and the value of shared ideas. It reinforced the importance of fostering meaningful relationships, both within our organisation and with the broader business community.
We extend our sincere thanks to all of our Partners, speakers, and attendees for making the 2025 Business Networking Lunch such a success. We look forward to continuing to build on these connections throughout the year and further strengthening the collaborative spirit that underpins our community.
