Davies Park continues to show huge improvements in and around its football facility as the work for the dole program reaches its ninth week.
The program is designed to teach its applicants different skills over many tasks that need to be performed in order to keep the picturesque football club running. It also allows these unemployed participants the opportunity to been seen in the public eye. Souths CEO, Jim McClelland, is very pleased with the productivity they are making around his park.
Dressing shed upgrade is the current project, along with the rejuvenation of both main game day entry gates, the field is being fully maintained by these guys, who are a real credit to themselves and each other.
Our goal here at Souths is to find jobs for all the guys by the time the project is complete in December. So far 4 participants have moved on the find employment.
