Souths doing their bit for Domestic Violence Awareness

On Sunday not only did the South boys play a very successful game of footy but they played in bright yellow socks to partake in the awareness of Domestic and Family Abuse.

YFS is a not-for-profit organisation that delivers a wide range of programs to the people of Logan and beyond.

YFS provides a service for men who use violence or control in their relationships.  They help men find other ways to act and behave in relationships.

Domestic violence is not just physical abuse.  Domestic violence includes verbal abuse, financial abuse, psychological abuse, stalking and other behaviours used to instil fear.

The team from YFS were at Davies Park on Sunday sharing awareness and information while entertaining the little ones with free footy balls.

Domestic violence affects many Queenslanders, their families and communities. It was absolutely brilliant to see the team play in the socks and an all around tremendous effort of the Souths Logan family to do their bit in providing a safer community.
