The week that was…

After a pleasing result on Sunday, with a 1 point win over the Devils, we look forward to heading to Julia Creek to take on the Tweed Heads Seagulls. Country week is now a very important date in the calendar, giving the Queensland Cup exposure in the Bush, but more importantly supporting the Country areas that do so much work with very little recognition for their efforts. We hope that through country week, all areas visited will get to experience the QCUP and the excitement and skill level it offers. These games are also a massive financial boost for the areas with all funds generated going back into grassroots footy. Last night we had a great night at training with the boys throwing on a BBQ for Bugsy, to celebrate his birthday. Plenty of sausages, bacon, cake, rum cans (for Bugsy) a haircut from Lolo & the boys put together a fully signed Broncos Training Shirt. We all know Bugsy is part of the behind the scenes team, that helps in the preparations of the teams each week. The boys and the club have the utmost respect for bugs who has been part of our club for many years and our game relies heavily on the people like Bugsy at our level.

Until next week…

Jim McClelland (CEO)
