CEO Report | Ed.14

The week that was…

With more players in the crowd then actually on the field it’s been a trying few weeks for the boys. We are hopeful of having Simi Fatafehi and Scott Doyle back for the Semi’s next week, but in their absence we have been very fortunate that the players who have taken their position have performed exceptionally well.

This weekend we travel to Mackay to take on the Mackay Cutters, a big game for the Magpies with the outcome and the result of the other games in particular determining the Semi-finals and the home game allocation.

Good luck also to our Colts this weekend, who are also a chance to make the Semi’s with a good performance required against the Tweed Heads Seagulls.

2017 has been a great year for the Magpies and I would just like to take this opportunity to thank all the Players, Coaches and Support staff for their efforts throughout the season.

Congratulations to Marsden, while they won’t successful in winning the State final, it’s a credit to the school for making it to the State Final, only being knocked out by Keebra.

Don’t forget Friday Night Food Markets are coming to Davies Park on the 13th of October, I’ll keep reminding you but we need to get you all along to support the Magpies!

Until next week …
